Description

Large clock tower with flag pole at top

The structure is a 60-feet high clock tower square on plan and continued from stylobate up to the clock spaces. From thence it has an octagonal drum which is surmounted with a dome. The tower will be erected in reinforced concrete and the architectural features will be on classical lines of simple and dignified character. The cost of the work including the clocks will amount to £900, and it is expected that the contract will be completed within three months.

Geelong Advertiser, 31 December 1926.
