Description

The memorial is a polished timber honor roll for ex-pupils of Valla Public School who served in the First World War. It has a classical pediment at the top, with carved timber trims. The inscription and list of names are printed in gold.

The Valla Public School opened as a provisional school in July 1879 and closed as a public school in May 1969. The roll has since been moved to the Valla Public Hall. Access to it is restricted to the opening hours of the hall.
