DIED OF WOUNDS.
PRIVATE G. STEVENS (WAK'WICIO.
Our readers will learn with the deepest regret that yet another Warwick district lad has sealed with his blood his devotion to the Empire and the cause we are fighting for. Word reached Warwick on Saturday (says yesterday's Examiner") that Private George Stevens, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. George Stevens, of Rookwood, had died of gunshot wounds on the 36th September.
The young hero, who was one of two sons, left Australia last February, and had probably participated in some of the recent tremendous battles in Flanders. The greatest sympathy, we feel sure, will be extended to the stricken parents.
