Sydney Morning Herald 30th September 1916 - Rest in Peace

BOWMAN.- Killed in action in France, August 21, 1916, Private Archer A H Bowman, the loved husband of Margaret S Bowman aged 23 years and 11 months

He was only a Private in battle - just a part of the great rank & file

He fended for his flag and its honour -he laid down his life with a smile

He has fought a great fight in the trenches -in response to his dear countries call

Australia is proud of her hero - thought he was only a Private, that's all.

Inserted by his sorrowing wife Maggie and two little children, Annie & Violet, Mintaro Avenue, Strathfield

He fought for those he loved so dear - that we may all live free

And on the battlefields of France, gave his life for you & me.
