Location

Found 45km (45 min drive) south of the Adelaide City centre, Aldinga and Aldinga Beach are well known for their coastal living and rural lifestyle. The Church Cemetery can be found on the right (driving south) on the corner of Main South Road and Old Coach Road just after the Port Road round-a-bout.

History

Aldinga Uniting Church Cemetery was originally established as a Wesleyan Methodist cemetery in the late 1860s, although there is one earlier inscription dated 1853. The stones are generally in good condition, upright and legible, very few having fallen or broken. An on-site columbarium bears plaques dating from 1989 to the present date.
