Son of Edward John Hawse and Annie Jane Hawse nee Williams of 'Karoola', Crisp Street, Albury, NSW
Apprenticed to George Dallinger for five years
Discharged on 6 February 1917 when it was discovered he was underage having falisfied his Attestation Paper by age and name
Following the death of his parents his kin of kin was changed to John Melisuiat of the Commonwealth Bank, albury, NSW
Commenced return to Australia on 10 April 1919 aboard HT Medic as invalid disembarking on 31 May 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney
