Leslie Patrick ABBERTON was born on 29th August, 1894 in Murrumburrah near Young NSW
His parents were Patrick ABBERTON and Catherine BERMINGHAM
He enlisted in Cootamundra for WW1 on 5th January 1916 with the 2nd Battalion
Unit embarked from Sydney on 14th April, 1916 on the Ceramic
He returned to Australia on 10th July, 1916
In 1926 he married Lilian JORDAN
Leslie changed his birth year to 1900 and enlisted again for WW2
S/N 271926 and NX50712
He died on 9th July, 1941 as a result of his WW2 service
Buried in Rookwood Roman Catholic Cemetery
