Brother of Alma Union Lisle Hicks (served as Lisle Hicks) who returned to Australia 20 October 1918 having served with the 7th Battalion and Thomas Hector Hicks MM who returned to Australia on 31 March 1919

Commenced return to Australia on 28 March 1919 aboard HT City of Poona disembarking on 14 May 1919
