Son of James Bennett Hayes and Isabella Hayes nee Perrott of Hamilton, Victoria
In April 1920 he was atttending Trinity College, Dublin to further his medical studies in Midwifery and Gynocology
Returned to Australia on 10 November 1921 aboard HT Beltana
