●Frederick John Martine. B-17/2/1883 in Tylden Victoria. He died on the 29/4/1959 at the age of 76. Frederick was the only son to go by the name of Martine. He donated his body when he died and was laid to rest at Mount Gravatt Cemetery on the 7/6/1962. He was single, farming and living in the Woodford area at the time of his enlistment. Frederick had previously served in the Boer War in South Africa and he also enlisted for World War II. According to Ancestry records he was engaged to Grace Cleave, however, she died of TB at the age of 19 years. After the war he farmed in Conondale, Queensland for a number of years.
