On the 21st of September 1894 a future soldier was born into this world, his name was Charles James Bagley.
Charles was born in a small town called Milang in South Australia. He was a loved son of Mr Charles Bagley and Mrs Ann Bagley.
Charles attended a little local school called Milang state school. His religion was Roman Catholic. Charles was a very hard worker on a farm.
In 1914 at the young age of twenty, Charles Bagley left his family and his home town and went of to fight for his country in World War One. He was ranked as a private. Charles was a brave and courageous soldier but was fatally wounded in the Battle in France on the 10th of August 1918 at the age of 23. The medals he was given was a 1914 - 15 Star, British Medal and a Victory Medal.
Charles James Bagley is now strongly remembered for his service to Australia. At the Australian War Memorial in Canberra you will find his name carved on the Remembrance wall.

Son of Charles BAGLEY and Ann nee TOMPLY
