Delmyr Gee GOSPER was born in Meranburn, NSW in 1895
His parents were Archibald George GOSPER & Hannah BRADLEY who married in St Johns Church, Wilberforce, NSW on 13th December, 1869 - they had 12 children
He enlisted in Bathurst on 29th August, 1916 & embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Wiltshire on 7th February, 1917 with the 19th Infantry Battalion, 19th Reinforcements
Delmyr was Killed in Action in Passchendaele, Belgium on 11th October, 1917 - his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Ypres Menin Gate Memorial

His brother Vincent James GOSPER (SN 2182) also served in WW1 and returned to Australia in 1919 - he was awarded a DCM
