Biography contributed by Aimee Humphreys
According to reports, Oliver Oswald Abbott received a gunshot wound to the head at Mouquet Farm on July 20th 1916. Informant states that he was buried at Mouquet Farm by a man known as "Mary".
Unfortunately, it seems after his father was informed, he received a letter from his son dated incorrectly as August 5th, giving false hope that his son was actually alive.
