2 March 1916 - enlisted at Perth, WA with the 24th Howitzer Brigade with the rank of Private and service number 28675

8 June 1916 - Promoted to Driver

12 October 1916 - transferred to Artillery Details

9 December 1918 - commenced return to Australia aboard HT Argyllshire disembarking on 19 January 1919

Medal: British war Medal

3 March 1919 - discharged at the 5th Military District as medically unfit due to overage and rheumatism
