Samuel John Christopher PROUT was born in Ballarat, Victoria on 12th May, 1885
His parents were Samuel Nichols PROUT and Mary Ann INGLEBY - his father was from Devon , UK and his mother was from Lincolnshire, UK - they married in Victoria in 1880
He served in both WW1 and WW2 (see service info for details)
Samuel married Lilias CRAWLEY in 1921 in Perth Western Australia
He died on 15th November, 1955 in Perth, WA - last living in Scarborough, Western Australia and is buried in Karrakatta Anglican Cemetery
