Son of Frank Edward Brealey and Ellen Brealey nee Barrett of Naracoorte, SA
Brother of Charles David Brealey who returned to Australia on 20 December 1917 having sered with the 3rd Light Horse Regiment; Francis Henry Brealey who was killed in action on 8 October 1917 while serving with the 12th Battalion. He has no known grave and appears on Menin Gate, Ypres; Stanley Thomas Brealey who was killed in action on 30 August 1918 whiel serving with the 32nd Battalion and was buried in Ennemain Communal Cemetery Extension.
