Son of George Viccars and Elizabeth Ann Viccars nee Punshon of Park Street, South Yarra, Victoria.
Brother of George Leslie Viccars who returned to Australia on 6 August 1919 having served with the 1st Field Artillery Brigade.
Commenced return to Australia on 12 July 1919 aboard HT City of Exeter disembarking on 24 August 1919
