F. M. BOYDELL enlisted on 19th June and embarked as 2nd Lieutenant in 20th Company, A.A.S.C., on 22nd November 1915. He, arrived in Egypt on 18th December and took part in operations there till 2nd June 1916, being promoted to Lieutenant on 1st February and transferred
to 4th Divisional Train, 27th Company, A.A.S.C., on 7th March 1916. He arrived in France on 11th June 1916 and took part in operations there and in Belgium until Armistice,- being appointed Temporary Captain from 18th October to 11th November 1917 and being promoted to Captain and transferred to 14th Company, A.A.S.C., on 6th September 1918. In January he was transferred to 7th Company as O.C., and having returned to Australia in June his appointment was terminated on 11th August
1919.
