On 4 August 1924 Athur married Charlotte Annie Morton in the residence of Rev. W.C. Brooker of Port Adelaide, SA. At the time of his death he was living at Queenstown, SA
Commenced return to Australia on 29 May 1919 aboard Rio Negro disembarking on the 22 July 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Adelaide
