Louis Lempriere AGNEW was born on 28th August, 1890 in Oatlands, Tasmania
His parents were Charles Stewart AGNEW & Lucy Emmeline REID
He married Irene Beatrice SYMONDS on 17th October, 1922 in St Davids Cathedral in Hobart
He enlisted in Liverpool, Sydney on 15th July, 1915 and embarked with the 1st Australian Clearing Hospital, 13th Reinforcements on the ship HMAT Runic on 20th January, 1916 and returned to Australia on 21st July, 1917 and was discharged on 30th October, 1917
Louis died in a private hospital in Darlinghurst, Sydney on 11th July, 1939 following surgery and was cremated in the Northern Suburbs Crematorium in North Ryde, Sydney - there is a memorial plaque for him in the Cornelian Bay Cemetery in Tasmania
He was awarded a Military Medal
