OBITUARY.
ALBERT VICTOR (VIC.) BIRCH.
Advice has been received by Mrs. D. Birch, snr. of Grove-street, Cairns, of the death in Brisbane yesterday of her son Albert Victor (Vic) Birch. The late Mr. Birch, who was a native of Cairns, resided here all his life Recently he went  to Brisbane for health reasons. Deceased was a returned soldier of the First AIF (25th Battalion). He is survived by his wife, three sons. Norman, Robert (of the RAAF), and Thomas, also one daughter, Isabel of the  W.R.A.N.S. Mr. Dod Birch, of Cairns, is a brother and Mrs. A. O. Williams and Mrs. J. G. Norris, of Cairns, are sisters. Deceased was a prominent member of the Returned Soldiers' League in Cairns for many years.
