LIEUT. F. E. CHAPMAN.
Mr. F. Chapman, of Armstrong Street, North Sydney, has been advised that his son Lieutenant Frederick K. Chapman, of the 10th
Field Artillery Brigade, A.I.F., died of wounds. This young officer, before leaving for tho front, was on the staff of Bennett and Wood,
Ltd., and in 1911, during tho Australian Commonwealth Coronation celebration he went to England as sergeant and private secretary to Major Wynne, who had charge of the Australian Cadet Contingent, and whilst on that trip he toured through the old battlefields of the Boer war, and was the recipient of a souvenir from the late Lord Roberts. Lieutenant Chapman was closely associated with junior cricket, and also captained the Naremburn P.S. to tho premiership in Australian Rules, and of late years represented North Sydney Union Football Club.
