Private Charles Keysey Bartley (Service No:44854) enlisted in the ACMF on 12 March 1942. Private Bartley served with 19 Garrison Battalion and was Discharged on 7 February 1946.
Born in 1924 in Albany WA, Charles was the seventh of nine children of John (Jack) Robert Bartley (b1890 in Richmond, Melbourne, Victoria) and Gertrude Margaret Keyser (b1888 in Albany, WA). Jack (a Labourer) and Gertrude married in 1910 in Albany WA where they settled and raised their family and Jack worked as a Labourer.
Charles was a Textile Worker in Albany WA - unemployed - when he enlisted in the ACMF. He was in Parth in 1942 when he married Georgina Helen Townsend (b1923 in Quairading, WA) and by 1949 Charles and Georgina were settled in Albany WA where Charles worked as a Factory Hand, Bar Manager and Plant Operator. Georgina died in 1991 and Charles in 2004.
