7 Sep 1918:	Honoured Military Medal, Recommended for work near Bray on 22 August 1918. Citation reads:- For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during the operations near Bray on 22nd August, 1918. Private Maybury was a Regimental Stretcher Bearer. He displayed the utmost contempt of danger and worked continuously for two days. Neither heavy shelling nor machine gun fire deterred him. He organised and led stretcher bearer parties, and it was by his splendid work that all our casualties were evacuated. Not only did this stretcher bearer set a fine example to his comrades, but he was also largely instrumental in saving the lives of many men.
