Harold Edgar Barbary was born in Moonta, South Australia in 1895. He was a Roman Catholic and single and enlisted in the war when he was 19 years old. His unit embarked from Adelaide, South Australia, on board HMAT A17 Port Lincoln on 1 April 1915. During World War I he served in the 3rd Light Horse Regiment, 4th Reinforcement.

Harold Edgar Barbary died on the 25th of May 1927.
