"...1301, Thomas George Beatty, was born at Mitcham, South Australia, on 7 June 1894. He enlisted at Oaklands, South Australia, on 23 November 1914. He returned to Australia and was discharged in July 1915. He re-enlisted service number 3368 at Broken Hill, New South Wales, on 7 September 1916 and served with the 50th Battalion before transferring to the 52nd Battalion. He was wounded in action on 26 September 1917 and killed in action on 24 April 1918 while a combatant in the Second Battle of Villers-Bretonneux." - SOURCE (collections.slsa.sa.gov.au)
