Add my storyBiography contributed by John Edwards
"News was received on Wednesday evening that Private Harry Murphy, of the Australian Light Horse, had been killed in action in Palestine. Private Murphy was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Coulson Murphy, formerly of this town, and now of Western Australia. He was a native of Bombala and had lived here most of his life. When he enlisted he held a good position in the Bank of New South Wales in Sydney, but he couldn't resist the call of his country for brave men to come forward and fight for freedom and liberty. He was a fine young man in every way, and those who knew Harry will know that however he died he died a man and a soldier. Two other brothers, Roy and Willie, are also in the firing line, and Jack would have been there too but that the doctor turned him down." - from the Bombala Times 06 Sep 1918 (nla.gov.au)
