Military Medal

'On 19th, 20th and 21st April, 1918 while CORBIE was under heavy enemy shellfire this N.C.O. was in charge of and issuing supplies from a dump near Railway Station in town mentioned. Although the bombardment was intense causing the occupants to vacate portion of the town in which dump was located, this N.C.O. remained at his post and encouraged those who were issuing under his orders. The Supply Officer, CORBIE, has reported on the gallantry and devotion to duty of this N.C.O. under very adverse conditions.'
