He married Olive Gytha SKEWES in St George Church of England in Wagin, WA on 20th July 1940 - Olive died on 1st April, 1945
His 2nd marriage was in 1947 to Eva DAVIES
Austin died on 11th January 1972 in the Wagin District Hospital and is buried in the Wagin Cemetery
