William Douglas ANTROBUS was born in Tottenham, London, England in 1897

His parents were Thomas George ANTROBUS & Mary Jane Ray ROBINSON

He enlisted in Liverpool, NSW on 3rd July, 1915 and embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Argyllshire with the 17th Infantry Battalion, 4th Reinforcements on 30th September, 1915

William was Killed in Action in France on 26th July, 1916 - no known grave

His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Villers Bretonneux Memorial
