Court of Enquiry, 4 May 1919, declared him to be an illegal absentee from 12 April 1919 and he was discharged from the AIF, 1 April 1920, in consequence of desertion. He remained in the United Kingdom for the rest of his life; died Birkenhead, Cheshire.
