Sergeant Lloyd Leonard Lott (Service Nos:V30040/VX117694) initially served in the Militia (Corporal; Service No:333243) with 52nd Battalion from 7 February 1939 to 4 March 1940. Corporal Lott then enlisted in the ACMF on 27 June 1940 and served in New Guinea (27 December 1941 - 14 March 1943) with 39th Infantry Battalion. Promoted to Sergeant, he was 'in the field' at Port Moresby in New Guinea when he enlisted in the AIF on 22 July 1942, and was attached to 39th Infantry Battalion at Discharge (Medically Unfit) on 22 February 1944.

Lloyd was born in Melbourne, Victoria in 1914, only child of Lawrence Leonard Lott (b1886 in Branxholme, Victoria) and Edith de Montford Townsing (b1891 in Ampitheatre, Victoria). Lawrence (a Farrier) and Edith (a Domestic Servant) married in Melbourne in 1914. Lawrence served in WWI (Driver; Service No:2498) and following his Discharge, divorced Edith in Melbourne in 1919. Lawrence settled in Melbourne, where he worked as a Farrier/Blacksmith until his death in 1926. Edith remarried and settled in Warragul, where she died in 1967.

Lloyd worked as a Labourer and Contractor in Warragul, where in 1940 he married Linda Mavis Wilkinson (b1919 in Korumburra, Victoria). Lloyd and Linda settled in Warragul, where they raised their family and Lloyd was a Concretor (in partnership with Horace Hampshire - Hampshire & Lott) until 1951. Following dissolution of the partnership, Lloyd worked as a Labourer in Warragul until his death in 1975. Linda died in 2003.
