Son of Andrew and Mary Emily Evans of 'Bronte' Mills Street, Croydon, NSW. Brother of Philip Godsket Hector Evans who died of wounds on 26 February 1917 while serving with the 18th Battalion and is buried in the Martinpuich British Cemetery Row C, Grave 18
