A report has been received at Mareeba that Mr. W.P. Henwood, mining engineer, died at Rockhampton on Monday, June 20. The deceased took considerable interest in stimulating the dredging and hydraulic sluicing industry in the Mareeba and Mount Molloy district, and was largely interested in the tinaroo Creek, also Lester-Leichardt and Station Creeks' alluvial properties, now under observation by southern dredging investors.
