Private Frank Henry Robinson (Service No:W69381) was fifty nine years of age when he enlisted in the ACMF on 29 March 1942. He was attached to 1 Battalion VDC (Swan) when he was Discharged on 24 October 1945.
Born in 1882 in Sydney NSW, Frank was the youngest of eight children of Thomas Robinson (b1845 in Lancashire, England) and Alice Bridget McCarthy (b1843 in Limerick, Ireland). Thomas (a Royal Nay Seaman) deserted ship in Sydney in 1863 and Alice (a Domestic Servant) also arrived in 1863 on board the Morning Star. Thomas (a Blacksmith) and Alice married in 1867 in Sydney NSW and by 1900 were living with their family in Perth WA.
Frank married Agnes Mary Screen (b1884 in Gloucestershire, England) in 1906 in Boulder WA. Frank and Agnes settled in Perth where they raised eight children and Frank worked as a Greengrocer, Engine Driver and Pig Farmer before working as Iron Moulder. Agnes died in 1957 and Frank in 1962.
