Son of James Rawson & S.E. Adams of Koorlong, Mildura, Victoria.
Older brother of Pte 1127 Edgar Robert Colbeck Adams who was also killed in action at Gallipoli on 25 April 1915 (as POW).
ADAMS - In sad and loving memory of my dear son, Trooper F. J. Adams, killed in action somewhere in France on the 26th March 1917. He sleeps on the blood stained field of France,
My gallant son so brave;
No loving hands may place a wreath
Upon his unknown grave
Days of sadness still come o'er me
Hidden, secret tears still flow,
For memory keeps my dear lad near me
Though he died twelve months ago.
Could mine eyes but pierce the gloom
And see my dear son's face
Perhaps this aching heart of mine
Would find a resting place
Duty nobly done

ADAMS.— Killed in action 26th March, 1917 at Bapaume (previously reported mlssing): No 138 13th Light Horse, Frederick James Adams.
He never shunned his country's call
But gladly gave his life— his all
He died the helpless to defend.
An Australian soldier's noble end.
