W. R. L. ADAMS enlisted in March 1916 and embarked as Private in A.A.M.C. on 4th August 1917. He arrived in France on 4th November
and was transferred to 14th Field Ambulance on 14th November 1917.
He took part in operations at Messines in February 1918 and at
Villers-Bretonneux, Morlancourt, Warfusee, Peronne and Bellicourt.
He returned to Australia in October and was discharged on 10th November 1919.
