Son of John W and Emma CARSS, 3 Mort Street, Moore Park, NSW
George saw service in France, wouned at Bullecourt May 1917, invalided to Base Hospital France. He rejoined his unit and was again wounded at Villers Brettoneux in April 1918. He was then invalided to King's Heath Hospital in Birmingham, England.
