George was the fourth of seven children of John White (b1862 in Gwalla, Western Australia) and Jane Gray (b1871 in Cornwall, England). John and Jane married in 1888 in Northampton, WA where they settled and raised their family. John died in 1898 and Jane in 1901.
George started work as a Farm Hand in Goomalling WA and was a Teamster when he enlisted in the AIF in 1916. He served as a Private (Service No:6904) with 28th Infantry Battalion and was Discharged in October 1918.
In 1917 George married Helena Bridget Elizabeth Hennessy (b1890 in Toodyay, WA) - Helena was a Farmer. George and Helena settled at Grange Clare Farm in Goomalling WA where they raised their family.
George was a Tractor Driver in 1941 when he enlisted in the ACMF (Private; Service No:W27633). He was attached to 29 Garrison Battalion when he was Discharged in 1945.
By 1949 George was a Farmer at Grange Clare Farm in Goomalling WA. Helena died in 1967 and George in 1979.
