Corporal Adolf Percy Brown MM (Service No:Q54559) served with the ACMF from 11 February 1941 to  19 October 1944 with 15 Garrison Battalion. Corporal Brown MM had served in WWI (Service No:5342) and was awarded the Military Medal in 1918.

Born in 1896 in Charters Towers QLD, Adolf was the third of four children of Adolph Charles Brown (aka Charles; b1857 in Bockham, Germany) and Jane Mitchell (b1866 in Rockhampton, QLD). Charles had immigrated in 1862, arriving in Maryborough, QLD on board the Glamis. Charles (a Miner) and Jane married in 1883 in Charters Towers, QLD where they settled and Charles worked as a Miner and Engine Driver. The family later moved to Innisfail, QLD where Charles worked as an Engine Driver.

Adolf worked as a Station Hand in Charters Towers before serving with the AIF in WWI, and was a Labourer in Innisfail, QLD in 1925 when he married Evelyn Maud Robson (b1900 in Laidley, QLD). Adolf and Evelyn settled in Innisfail where they raised their family and Adolf worked as a Hospital Wardsman. Evelyn died in 1986 and Adolf in 1988.
