Allan was the sixth of eight children of Thomas Henry Wright (b1857 at Westbrook Farm, Busselton WA) and Hannah Sarah Stinton (b1855 in Coolingup, WA). Thomas (a Farmer) and Hannah married in 1881 in Picton Junction, WA. They settled at Blackwood River in Balingup WA where Thomas was a Farmer.

Allan was a Farmer at Rokewood in Balingup, WA when he enlisted in the AIF in August 1915 (Private; Service No:4027) - he had been with the 25th Light Horse for eighteen months. Allan served in Egypt (2/16th Reinforcements)and France and was a Sergeant with 48th Infantry Battalion when he was Discharged in July 1919. 

Returning to Balingup WA, Allan was a Farmer when he married Ena Ellen Jeacock (b1906 in Warwickshire, England) in 1924 in Balingup - Ena had immigrated with her parents in 1922, arriving in Fremantle WA on board the Jervis Bay. Allan and Ena settled at Rokewood in Balingup where Allan was a Farmer. he served in the ACMF (1942 - 1945) with 5 (Busselton) Battalion VDC (Private; Service No: W70116)

Allan and Ena retired to Bunbury in the early 1960s, Allan died in 1972 and Ena in 1997.
