EDDIE Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Eddie of Parkville, have received advice from the Defence department that their son, Sergt Frank Eddie, 2nd Field Ambulance (who left Australia October, 1914, went through Gallipoli campaign, and is still in France) has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, having been previously mentioned in despatches. He has been promoted to warrant-officer of 12th Field Ambulance.
