Son of Mr and Mrs William HODSHON of Port Augusta. Married with four children and residing at 5 Eaton Street, Redfern (formerly of Orroroo) he was aged 43 years when he enlisted in WW2. Educated at the Port Augusta Public School he played cricket and was a member of the Orroroo Rifle Club. In civilian life he was a packer with the S.A. Railways and a member of St John Ambulance with the railways. William had served in the Great War. He enlisted in WW2 in May 1940 and served in Syria and Java and was taken prisoner of war.
