Mentioned in Despatches
Camden News 3 May 1945 pg. 4
Mr. A. A. Gregory, formerly of Studley Park, Narellan, is in receipt of a communication from the Minister for the Army that his son, Pilot Officer Arthur Ross Gregory, R.A.A.F., has been mentioned in despatches. The citation states that "He participated in 21 dive bombing strikes against enemy occupied portions in New Guinea, and he invariably pressed home his attacks often in the face of enemy anti-aircraft fire. His strikes have always been carried out courageously and aggressively and with complete disregard for his own safety. It seems it was but recently Ross was a pupil at the Camden Public School, and we all congratulate him on his activities with the R.A.A.F.
