Lerryn William MUTTON was born in Concord, NSW on 12th October, 1924
His parents were Brice MUTTON & Lilian May TAYLOR who married in Sydney in 1923 - they had 3 children, Lerryn, Brice & Lorna
He married Mavis TUCKER on 29th October, 1949 in the Holy Trinity Church in Concord West - 4 children, Brice, Ross, Merrilyn & David
He enlisted in the RAAF on 5th December, 1942 & served in Labuan & Borneo in the No. 93 & No. 87 Squadrons and was discharged on 25th February 1946 - for more detailed information check his service history link (NAA)
He was a Carpenter & Builder/ a Pilot in WW2 & resided with his family in Concord West, NSW, before retiring in 1987 to live in McMasters Beach on the NSW Central Coast
A NSW State Politician/Alderman/Mayor representing Concord & Rotarian of Concord & Kincumber Clubs & a Paul Harris Fellow.
Lerryn died of Illness at McMasters Beach on the Central Coast of NSW on 26th July, 2015 & is buried in the St Pauls Anglican Church Cemetery in Kincumber, NSW

He was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) on 14th June 2010 for services to the communities of Concord & Kincumber
Lerryn wrote a book about his experiences during WW2 in the RAAF & his community & family life entitled "Lest I Forget"
In 1999 as a WW2 Veteran he was invited by the Australian Department of Veteran Affairs to attend the Sandakan Memorial Ceremony in Malaysia
