Thomas was the fourth of five children of Thomas Denis Molloy (b1877 in Dalby, QLD) and Agnes Gertrude Ryan (b1875 in Raymond Terrace, NSW). Thomas Snr (a Mechanic) and Agnes married in Ipswich, QLD in 1903. They lived in Toowoomba, QLD where Thomas Snr worked as a Mechanic until enlisting in the AIF in 1915 (Trooper; Service No:2304). Thomas Snr and Agnes lived in Ipswich and then Maryborough QLD where Thomas worked as a Machine Driller.
In 1938 Thomas was a Labourer in Mount Morgan, QLD when he married Thelma Spiers Wanchap (b1915 in Mount Morgan, QLD). In 1942 Thomas enlisted in the RAAF and was a Leading Aircraftman (Service No:77097) attached to 3 Aircraft Depot when he was Discharged in March 1946.
In the 1950s Thomas and Thelma moved to Bundaberg, QLD where they were Storekeepers. By the early 1970s Thomas was a Mill Worker. He died in 1989 and Thelma in 2000.
