Sergeant Osmond Detwiler Keyser (Service No:38856) enlisted in the RAAF on 31 May 1941 as an Aircraftman 1 - Mustered as a W/T Operator. He progressed to Sergeant (mustered as Telegraphist) and was attached to 2 Air Observer School when he was Discharged on 14 March 1946. He had served in the AIF in WWI (Sergeant; Service No:56350) with 1 to 3 (WA) and (Tas) Reinforcements and 11th Infantry Battalion.

Osmond was the eldest of eight children, born in 1899 in Albany WA to Charles Christopher Keyser (b1871 in Busselton, WA) and Lucy Sanderson (b1876 in Durham, England). Charles had been a Printer's Apprentice and Lucy a Dressmaker's Apprentice when they married in 1898 in Ballarat, Victoria and moved immediately to Albany WA where Charles was Assistant Town Clerk. In 1904 Charles was elected to the WA Legislative Assembly seat of Albany, which he held until October 1905. Charles and Lucy lived in Greenbushes, Wagin and Pinjarra where Charles served as Town Clerk and Secretary of Road Boards. Following his Retirement, Charles and Lucy moved to Melbourne, Victoria.

Osmond started working as a Telegraphist with the Post Master General's (PMG) Department in 1916 - a position he held for eighteen years. In 1922 Osmond was in Mullewa, WA when he married Amelia Euphemia Georgina Warren (b1905 at Chapman nr Geraldton, WA). Osmond and Amelia lived in Mullewa, Perth and Geraldton where Osmond was a Telegraphist with the PMGs Department. By 1935 Osmond had joined the WAGR and lived in Harvey and Mullewa - where he was Shed Storeman in 1941 when he enlisted in the RAAF. Osmond and Amelia remained in Mullewa until the late 1950s when they moved to Greenmount, Mundaring and Osmond worked as a Clerk. Osmond died in 1981 and Amelia in 2002.

Sergeant Osmond Detwiler Sanderson Keyser (Service No:56350) enlisted in the AIF on 25 April 1918 and was a Private attached to 1 to 3 (WA) and (Tas) Reinforcements on 29 July 1917 when he embarked from Albany WA for England on board HMAT A74 Marathon. Sergeant Keyser was attached to 11th Infantry Battalion on 18 December 1919 when he embarked for the RTA on board the Konigan Luise, and was Discharged on 20 February 1920.

Born in Albany WA in 1899, Osmond was the eldest of eight children of Charles Christopher Keyser (b1871 in Busselton, WA) and Lucy Sanderson (b1876 in Durham, England) - Lucy was a Dressmaker's Apprentice in 1891 in Yorkshire, England. Charles and Lucy married in 1898 in Ballarat, Victoria and moved that year to Albany WA.
