William Francis White.
William's parents were James White and Angelina Elizabeth Smith ( his mother died 1883) The White family was early pioneers of North Pine and ran a successful dairy farmer on Oak Farm bordered by the North Pine River. The property remained in the White family until bought by Australia Paper Manufacturers to establish the Petrie Carton Board Mill. William enlisted twice
he suffered from acute deafness but was accepted into the Military Police in Brisbane. He was discharged as medically unfit in March 1916. He re-enlisted in September 1916 and was accepted. William's four brothers enlisted as well, John [7361], Walter [647], Frederick [4782] and half-brother Albert [4785]. Frederick and Albert were both killed.
