Son of James and Mary Elizabeth SCOTT of 19 Hudson Street, Coburg, Vic.  Rupert was employed in the Mt. Lyell Coy. & Railway Dept.  He fought through Polygon Wood, and on another occasion , of 48 men who went into action, he was one of the only two who retuned.  He was killed by a shell on 21 October 1917
