Son of Edward Fowke and Elizabeth Fowke of Nyngan, NSW. Brother of Matilda Fowke, Francis Fowke, Frederick Fowke who was killed in action on 9 October 1919 while serving 20th Battalion and is buried in the Buttes New British Cemetery.
